Zefer

Zefer’s own ability behind the decks as a selector, tastemaker and DJ has led to appearances at many of the UK’s most critically acclaimed venues, including Printworks (b2b Riz La Teef), XOYO (for the 30 Years of Matt Jam Lamont event) & several others. The London based producer’s live exploits have even taken him onto foreign soil in recent years, performing shows in France, Germany, Poland, Hungary & Romania during his European Tour alongside Steppers Club in September 2023. Zefer’s presence on the decks has further resulted in his own solo achievements on the radio, having held a 2 year residency on Reprezent FM (whereby notable guests included Novelist, MPH, Bklava & Keeya Keys) & more recently been selected by Heartless Crew to present the ‘Evolution of UK Garage’ show on 1Xtra (broadcasted during the BBC’s 30 year celebration of the genre in August 2024). This call-up marked the culmination of several years working behind the scenes on Steppers Club (Zefer’s label), which can be credited for discovering & working with the likes of many now household names in the genre including Oppidan, Prozak, Hamdi, Gemi, Burt Cope & more. Alongside his own exploits as an artist, Zefer’s role as the leader & pioneer of the label can be credited as the key reason why the producer has cemented his name as one of the most important figures behind the development of the scene over the past 5 years.
